Volunteers Needed – Make a Difference with SCCOA!

The Saginaw County Commission on Aging (SCCOA) is looking for caring, dedicated volunteers to help us support seniors in our community. Your time and compassion can brighten lives and strengthen connections.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Meals on Wheels Drivers

  • Deliver meals to homebound seniors.
  • Routes available Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Mileage reimbursement provided.

Phone Buddies

  • Brighten a senior’s day with a weekly friendly phone call.
  • Provide companionship, conversation, and a caring voice through our Friendly Phone Call Program.

Meals on Wheels Food Bags

  • Help pack food bags for Meals on Wheels.
  • Volunteer shifts available Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Event Volunteers

  • Support special events with roles such as:
    • Event setup and tear-down
    • Guest assistance and check-in
    • Gift wrapping and more
